Tears of the Oppressed is looking for a volunteer to assist the organisation in the area of human resource management
The Human Resource Manager is responsible to the National Directors for:
- Writing human resources policy for paid and volunteer workers;
- Determining human resource directions and priorities;
- Recruitment;
- Remuneration, pay and conditions establishment and management;
- Salary and related payment oversight
- Administer the graduate program
Skills/Experience preferred:
- Diploma/Degree qualified professional with AHRI (or equivalent) membership
- At least three years of recent human resource work experience
- Experience in HR issues of a small non-government association
Christian commitment:
- It is expected that all Tears of the Oppressed Board members would
have a strong Christian commitment, in keeping with the ethos of the
organisation.
Hours:
- Estimated time for each position is five to ten hours per week
(negotiable). Work can either be done from the Tears of the Oppressed
office, Wesley Uniting Church, 20 National Circuit, Forrest (Canberra)
or from home, with a regular visit to the office.

Tears of the Oppressed is looking for a
suitably qualified person to take over the role of Treasurer of the
organisation. The successful applicant must first be appointed to the
Tears of the Oppressed Board and be able to attend quarterly meetings
in Canberra.
The Treasurer is responsible to the Board for:
- Writing financial policy;
- Determining strategic financial direction and priorities;
- Budget management including presenting quarterly financial reports to the Board;
- Financial control including oversight of accounts processing and financial system (Quickbooks);
- Financial statement preparation and liaison with auditor
Skills/Experience preferred:
- Degree qualified accountant with ASCPA/ICAA membership
- At least three years of recent accountancy work experience
- Experience in financial management issues of a small non-government association
Christian commitment:
- It is expected that all Tears of the Oppressed Board members would
have a strong Christian commitment, in keeping with the ethos of the
organisation.

Tears of the Oppressed
is looking for a gifted administrator to help us set up and run our
“Artists Against Persecution” network in 2006. The purpose of the
network is to unite Christian artists of all disciplines and provide
opportunities for them to use their creative talents in the service of
suffering Christians around the world.
The right person will
-
have contacts in the Australian Christian arts and music scene

Have some experience in arts administration, including coordinating events
-
Be self-motivated and organised
-
Have access to appropriate technology (e.g. email, fax, mobile, etc)
